EnduroSat raises $205M, wins Vantor satellite deal
What happened
Bulgarian satellite maker EnduroSat raised $205 million on September 16, pushing European newspace funding past €1 billion for the month. It is EnduroSat's second raise in under a year, after a $104 million round last October. Separately, Vantor, the former Maxar Intelligence, selected EnduroSat and CACI to build a 24-satellite fleet launching 2027 to 2029. The satellites will carry 40-centimeter resolution and a 15-minute revisit time. EnduroSat will supply the buses and integration, and CACI the optical payloads.
Read-across for SES
SES tracks EO and geospatial adjacency as a hedge against its comms-only exposure. Vantor's move mirrors a pattern already visible at BlackSky and NOAA, where legacy imagery providers buy smallsat capacity from newer manufacturers to add revisit rate. It is also a verticalization data point, a funded bus-and-integration maker landing a prime-level, government-adjacent contract.
As the brief filed it
[AGE: 24h] EnduroSat raised $205M and separately won a Vantor contract to build 24 satellites for a 15-minute-revisit imaging fleet, the biggest European newspace raise this month.
